Toyota - Corolla Commercial Price: from £28,735
Last Updated On: 07/03/2023
The all-new Toyota Corolla Commercial comes with only 2 front seats and a spacious rubber-lined loading area, coupled with a full height metal bulkhead and blanked rear glass. The Corolla Commercial now includes the latest Toyota safety systems. These practical features have been added to an already well-specified vehicle to deliver an outstanding commercial vehicle.
It's the first full hybrid electric van in its class, using the same self-charging technology as the Corolla Hatchback and Touring Sports passenger models. The Corolla Commercial now includes the 5th Generation Hybrid Engine, with benefits including more efficient and responsive performance and even more engaging driveability. This will give business customers the advantage of high fuel efficiency and low emissions, together with the ability to drive on pure electric power in EV mode.
The Corolla Commercial offers the same stylish interior, excellent handling and stability of its siblings, but with the purpose of servicing business needs. The Commercial further gains the latest Toyota Safety Sense package of advanced safety and driver assistance systems, with more functions and increased hazard detection capabilities.
Available with a 1.8 hybrid engine, total power is 138bhp, giving a 0-62mph (100km/h) time to 9.4 seconds. CO2 emissions are from 100g/km, with fuel economy from 64.2mpg (all figures WLTP combined cycle). Toyota’s full hybrid electric system gives a generous all-electric driving capability that’s ideal for urban deliveries, while ensuring there’s always the freedom to make longer trips whenever required, with no need to schedule down-time for recharging.
The van’s useful load-carrying qualities are undiminished, with 1,326 litres of loadspace, the ability to carry a 425kg payload and tow up to 750kg. The conversion from Corolla Touring Sports to Commercial includes a rubber load space lining, full bulkhead grille, interior light and 12v power outlet , all work that is carried out by Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK at its Burnaston car plant in Derbyshire. Corolla’s “home grown” quality also includes an engine supplied by the TMUK Deeside factory in North Wales.
The Corolla Commercial is available in a single grade with a standard equipment specification.
